Are You Asking Yourself What's Next?
Many of us have figured things out and have done what needs to be done to support and manage our way through the last few months. Have you been asking yourself, what’s next? I have been thinking a lot about what’s to come. A next iteration of our businesses will likely be required. I think we will best be served by putting our sights on the future and exploring our best guess about what that future will look like. If you don’t see your way out of where you are right now, I recommend putting some attention towards what lays ahead and what that might look like. It can provide much needed relief.
We are being given the opportunity to use our imagination and mental acumen to stretch ourselves towards a future we want to be a part of. An excellent first step is planning what needs to be done so we can be nimble and quick when the next opportunity shows up. If your tendency is to stay entrenched in what is right in front of you, you might be better served if you set your attention on what’s next. Right now, this could be an excellent use of your time and energy.
I think there are a lot of opportunities available even if we’re not sensing or seeing them. Granted, we don’t know what the future will bring but the future is going to bring something and the more fluid, flexible and ready to move we are, the more likely we can capitalize on the opportunities when they arrive.
