Agility Encourages Inspired Action
Living in the midst of a global pandemic has taught us a good deal about ourselves as business professionals. Ready or not, we’ve had to take a good look at what really matters to us in our work and personal lives. And we’ve discovered what tools and skills are necessary to thrive during economic crises.
Solid business planning remains central to keeping afloat. But more than ever, we see that agility – the ability to adapt to change – is an essential business skill.
Rolling with changes doesn’t come easy for me. I’ve worked hard at developing my business programs, and I’m not eager to change something that works well. Take for example my One Page Business Plan® class. For the past 15 years, I’ve taught it as a one-day, intensive workshop. I was very attached to my approach. I liked what it brought to my clients, and the high-touch, customized experience was gratifying. But then COVID arrived.
My initial reaction was to pull the covers over my head and wish it would all just go away – quickly. It took me a couple of months to adjust to the reality of “shelter in place” and accept that COVID was not going away tomorrow. Embracing the reality that transition would be necessary served as a reminder that leaning into change has great value and being willing to pivot is essential to success.
Back in 2015, when I was developing a national following, I had created an online version of the One Page Business Plan®. At the time, I needed a program to serve women who were not geographically compatible. When I threw back the covers and let possibility surface, I pulled up that very same One Page Business Plan Webinar, dusted it off, freshened it up, and since April, I’ve taught the One Page Business Plan Webinar every month, and it’s been amazing!
The new five-week webinar brings more benefit to my clients and colleagues than I was able to convey in a one-day, marathon classroom experience. Now participants can email me their plans between sessions for feedback. I have retained the small group, high-touch experience that to my surprise can be done with ease on Zoom!
Plus, I’m offering a deeply discounted price in support of business planning in the time of COVID!
Historically I’ve charged $497 for this class and I’m offering it for just $197! The webinar begins March 3rd and meets for five weeks, on Wednesdays, from 1 pm-3 pm PST, through March 31st.
You get to work on your plan over a five-week period with back and forth email reviews with the Biz Diva. There are 8 seats available and you can register right now or schedule a call with me if you want to have a conversation before taking the next step into framing your future.
Pivoting my program to the online format turned out to be a value-add, with a win-win outcome. And what’s more, in February I’ll be launching The One Page Business Plan Next Level Masterclass in response to OPBP graduates eager to bring their customized plans to life. I am tickled and excited. It is the perfect next step for me and everyone who develops their One Page Business Plan.
Not only have I learned to stretch and flex during this new way of doing business, I remember that being agile is an important underpinning of any sound business plan. COVID — and the global crises — have thrust change upon us. There’s no question that it has brought tragedy and heartbreak. But that doesn’t have to be the whole story. Pivoting, moving forward, innovating new responses — in these ways we can all contribute our best to whatever lies ahead.
I wish you a peaceful and reflective New Year!
